My new workshop.

Just some photo's of my new workshop and my first piece of furniture. I just love the table and chairs, to be honest I just want to keep it the way it is and keep it myself. I have decided to paint the walls baby blue ( my favourite colour). I have also bought a vintage kitchen unit today which should arrive soon.

She will be looking lovely by next week with bunting hanging from every corner. I  am hoping for a really inspiring work shop when she's finished.

New Opportunities.

I have acquired a rather large storage room in the workshop attached to our Caravan workshop. Also attached is a larger room which Hubby is using for his community work with kids. He has given me the space to do whatever I want. It needs tidying up and a lick of paint but its dry, it has electrics and water, a small kitchen and is a decent size overall. So what do I do with it?

I have several ideas, but they are all going to cost money initially. The one that really appeals to me is buying Vintage furniture and giving it a new lease of life. I did yesterday acquire two vintage kitchen tables and chairs to match. So you could say I have already started. I am scouring the Internet for any decent finds that are not to expensive. The only problem with larger items is they want you to collect only. That's just not practical for us in most cases due to where we live. So I think this will take off, but very slowly which is fine. Its not as if I do not have enough to do anyway, I am working and I have all the sewing to do for the new caravans too.

Our Lives seem more hectic now than I can ever remember, its mad really as the last 6 months should of been about taking it easy after everything that has happened. Life is too short though and if an opportunity arises you have to try it. If it does not work out I will have some lovely furniture for my home.

Busy doing nothing.

Hi everyone, this is just a quick post to say nothing is really happening at the moment. I have done no work on the caravans as I am to busy with work. I have done a few more lines of bunting as gifts but nothing else. I am awaiting the caravan fabrics as they had to be ordered due to the quantity. Other than that any free minute I have I have taken to becoming a couch potato. Its because I am very tired and its not that long since I finished radiotherapy. To be honest though I am quite enjoying doing nothing for the moment.

I am going away for 3 days on Thursday which I am really looking forward too. Breast Cancer Care are hosting a weekend for young women who have had Breast Cancer. I will  finally be meeting my blogging mate Chez who I met when I first started this blog. These events are very informative but most of all lots of fun and you get to make lots of new friends. So while I am away Hubby will be working in the lock up on "Lola and Lotte" so hopefully the transformation will start to take place.

My First attempt at sewing.

Hi everyone, this is just a quick post before I go to work. Last night I finally got the chance to sit and make something pretty on my new sewing machine. I did spend Saturday afternoon learning how to thread the machine ( thanks to you tube because the manual was crap). I was given some scrap fabric from the material shop in the village and made a mock caravan curtain. So I popped back to the shop yesterday and bought a small piece of the same fabric used on the spare room curtains ( which my mum did a few months ago). This is the result, I was quite impressed with myself I can tell you.

We have not had time to get to the lock up to do any work on the caravan's but as soon as we do I will get some photos.
